SportFit is looking for caring children's Waking Night Support Workers to join the team at our new 3-4 bed children's home in New Milton.
The role
You'll be committed to providing our young people with a safe, supportive and nurturing environment and being a consistent role model in their lives.
As Waking Night Support Worker you'll be:
Caring and compassionate
Bringing fun and laughter into the home
There to support children through the good times and the tough times
Helping children feel good about themselves and encourage them to try new things
Listening when children want to talk
Celebrating their achievement
Supporting young people towards independent living
Assisting in developing their self-belief and coping skills
Working collaboratively with colleagues and family members in meeting children's needs
Supporting and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of all aspects in the home including cooking, cleaning and finances
Ensuring that the needs of the young people are being met and review and record any changes to those needs
You'll have the following experience and qualifications:
Level 4 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification is desirable; however training will be available
Experience of supporting vulnerable young people within a residential care environment, or similar youth worker experience
You will be compassionate, resilient, committed to being a positive role model and confident in managing challenging behaviours
Flexible and able to work a residential care rota which includes evening, weekends and holiday periods and sleep-ins
Hold a valid UK driving licence
